In 2002 a group of experienced healthcare providers got together with the mining industry to find a solution for improving the health of the mining workforce. The team produced high quality low cost Multi Vitamins. The exceptional improvements in workforce health were noticed by the National Union Of Mine workers who named the product Phakamisa which means “To Pick Up” or “to Uplift”.
This product was not a free handout but rather it was an affordable products for employees and their families.
On the success of Phakamisa Multi Vitamins in February 2004 the product range grew into the nationally available product we find in all leading pharmaceutical and retails outlets today.
